YOUR NEXT CHAPTER

RECHARGE ~ reconnect ~ revitalize

Goodnestone Park Manor, kent, England

May 2023 Alumni Re-TREAT

limited to 16 participants, Covid protocols in place

YOU ARE CALLED TO THIS journey BECAUSE…

These have been unprecedented times.

It is time to acknowledge the grit and resilience it required and to replenish the energy that you used to sustain yourself.

You are not the same person coming out of the pandemic as the one who entered it. Changed, you hold new questions and visions for your way forward. Renew your sense of life expansion; you’ve stayed in one space for too long.

This rejuvenation needs to be held somewhere expansive and safe; within a trusted circle of sisterhood. In the company of your tribe, you will laugh, dream and reconnect with your vibrancy again.

Come and remember what it is to live fully, unapologetically, from the centre of your being.

IF NOT NOW, WHEN?

lets stand together again

Before we author the next chapter, let’s stand together in the strength and joy of community and sisterhood. Remember the courage we gained from one another? We started our time together unsure and solitary and ended confident in the smiles and strength of the bonds we had woven.

Whether this Covid-time has been one of turbulence or cocooning, it is time to emerge into a new world. Transition through change is always daunting. By sharing our stories we will find our way into dreaming again.

Now, perhaps more than ever, we need the energy of sisterhood at our wings. Let’s spread the contagion of gratitude, happiness and delight.

JOY REVIVAL! retreat theme

This Re-Treat for Alumni is a unique program carefully crafted and tailored for you. It emphasizes, first and foremost, the power of standing together as a community of seekers - willing, courageous, audacious and bold.

The unique design will facilitate each participant in the pursuit of their personal quest, building on the experience and the learning from your work with Tania. Our pre-retreat conversation will allow Tania and the team to design an experience to challenge and delight the group assembled.

I am curious, what feels left undone from our previous work? What is whispering with longing to you now? What would enable you to re-emerge as a more vibrant version of YOU?

Your Journey

Your exploration of your Way Forward begins before your arrival in Kent;

  • We’ll Zoom-gather monthly, as of January 2022, on calls to reconnect and meet one another

  • You’ll have a one on one coaching session with Tania before and after the retreat in order to bring clarity to your intention for discovery and your immersion in a renewed sense of JOY!

  • Beautifully designed workbooks will guide your reflection prior to your arrival and after your return home. These include readings, videos, journaling and exercises and will prime you to explore the direction you wish to take in realizing whatever sits on your horizon.

RETREAT DAYS

What we explore will be a result of the questions you are asking right now. Your chat with me upon registration will allow me to craft something that will help you step into your quest.

Our metaphor here in England is grounded in Wayfinding. So as a starting place I imagine that our questions will begin with….

What do you SEE on your horizon?

Has your purposeful walk through life turned into a meander. Big, small, heroic or meaningful, what’s your next step?

That illusive place of “happiness” or “success”, know what it looks like for you? Signposts and finish lines only work if you can see them. Live your best life and know what you’re in it for.

Bring back the effervescence, the commitment, the joie de vivire, the drive, the energy. Let’s colour ourselves in, Covid made us kind of monochrome, it is time to be vibrant again.

Seriously, what ARE you waiting for?

what about fun?

We believe that in order for transformation to truly take hold, we must explore ourselves through different modalities, engaging our physical, creative, emotional and spiritual selves. For this reason each Advivum Journeys has integrated multiple learning experiences to engage your fullest learning. Movement and creativity are gateways to self discovery. On this retreat you will discover through:

WAYFINDING

What better way to find your next right answer than to be wayfinding on the centuries old (but very well maintained) footpaths! Part metaphor part challenge, you will be on several discovery hikes which will take up to 3.5 hours. Equipped with instructions, (…follow the well marked trail through the orchard to the brow the hill and…) this adventure will bring you through time and the rarely experienced country landscapes, quaint villages, and rolling landscapes of Kent.

(*this is a vigorous walk that can be accomplished by anyone with a basic physical ability.)

STORYTELLING

Did you know Jane Austen wrote while at Goodnestone Manor? A radical in her time, she pushed against society’s notion of who she sought to be and sought to influence her own fate. Through guided reflections you will look at the arc of your own story, and pen your newest chapter and perhaps push a few notions of your own.

You will be creating a video journal of your discoveries and your challenges, all which will culminate in your sense of discovery and personal wisdom.

COOKING (please note this option is dependent on Covid protocols at the time of retreat)

What quicker route to JOY than through food? Mel will delight us by helping us discover the food properties that bring us JOY while we master some of the recipes to do so at home!

KENT, ENGLAND

Why did I choose Kent?

I fell in love with the English countryside while exploring the public footpaths – instructions in hand, weaving down country lanes, wandering through estate gates, over stone walls and into hidden clearings, enchanted. Time travelling as I sat under a 400 year old chestnut tree, so large and imposing I could only think of the ancestors, its and mine, that had come before me, I wondered about the next chapter of my life and what I would make of it.

Finally present to myself and my thoughts, in that moment I could hear myself start to ask and finally begin to answer some my biggest questions.

Kent is known as the 'Garden of England'. It claims to be the oldest county in England and contains some 17000 listed historic buildings. I love the little villages, cottages and charming pubs that dot the countryside, that seem to magically appear unadorned and unannounced. And the footpaths! These public footpaths which crisscross the landscape are hundreds of years old, from a time when transportation was mostly on foot. They give a unique felt sense of history and geography and are the perfect place to contemplate life’s bigger questions.

Are you ready to ask yours?

Getting Here:

Goodnestone (google maps) is in the Kent countryside, east of Canterbury, and easily accessed.

FLIGHTS: International flights land in London, at Heathrow (LHR), Stanstead (STN) and Gatwick (LGW).

TRAINS: Hourly trains from Central London to Canterbury West, journey times vary from 45 -90 minutes. A 20 minute taxi ride will bring you from the train station to the front door. (thetrainline.com)

CAR: 90 minutes from London

THINKING OF YOU in england!

I came over to England to get a sense of what it is like to travel. Customs was VERY efficient. Documentation is filled in before hand so that everything is smooth when you arrive. Currently there is a requirement for a Day 2 test, which you do on location with us or at your hotel if you arrive early. It is easy, efficient and fast.

We’re happy to answer any questions about travel, and stay tuned. We are also launching a Concierge Service to help you plan your weekend before and after if you want to see a bit more of England and would appreciate a little local guidance.

Come ground yourself in the experience of being both present in the moment and

enchanted by what you discover - in your surroundings and in yourself.

Unhurried bytime, fall in love again with those things that matter the most.

“Answer your biggest questions and live your

greatest aspirations.”

RETREAT FAQS:

How will you decide on who will be accepted into the retreat?

All retreat participants are Advivum Journeys Alumni. As such we know that they are great adventurers, community builders and fun seekers like you. This is a time to enjoy participating and learning in a collective. Our experience is that much of the learning comes through the shared experience of others.

How many spaces are available?

In order to accommodate everyone in a separate room, we can welcome up to 16 participants on this retreat. If you wish to come on this retreat with someone that you know and share a room, please let me know. As you are the focus of this retreat we have intentionally kept the groups small so that you have the space to create the experiences, relationships and 'ah-has' that you are seeking. This also allows Tania to spend time in impromptu coaching conversations and discovery with each of you and give you full access to the creative process, the location and the activities planned.

What can I expect from a typical day?

There will be lots of workshop time spent together, sometimes in a whole group, sometimes one-on-one with Tania and other times in smaller groups. You'll find yourself walking (easy to moderate), being in workshop, thinking hard, laughing loudly, trying something creative. On some days, our reflections and dialogues are highly structured to move you along a graceful exploration of the questions at hand. Other days will be fluid and follow the mood and rhythm of the group. Every day will have some movement, journaling, workshop time exploring a theme, lots of food, quiet time and relaxation. Country walks figure prominently, if you have mobility challenges, please let me know so that we can accommodate your needs. Please note: this accommodation has stairs and is not accessible without the ability to climb a flight of stairs.

Is there support offered to me once I complete the retreat?

Absolutely! You'll receive support in the form of workbooks and check-ins once you leave the retreat in order to support your learning. For those who would like more focused one-on-one support, you might be eligible to work with Tania directly and we will determine the frequency and duration that would be most beneficial.

I want to attend but cannot afford it. What can I do?

First ask yourself why you think you can't afford it. These retreats are a powerful way to re-imagine yourself and reignite your passion and your truth. That is a tall order and requires an investment in yourself. Some people are stuck in a belief that it is "expensive" to invest in themselves, but if you are not ready for this financial declaration of the new you, perhaps you are just not ready. If you are ready but need a little help, I have the potential to offer some scholarships assistance, just ask. We will do our best to help ensure that finances don’t stand in the way of you participating in this vibrant community.

Can I come late or leave early if the dates don't exactly work for me?

The retreat design is intricate and graceful. Each moment has been given great consideration and each element, be it workshop time or down time, is gently placed into the agenda for a reason. If you come late or leave early you will miss a part of your discovery, connection with the group and a step in the overall process. We'd hate for you to miss any of this experience. You are encouraged to arrive or depart on the designated arrival/departure days at whatever time works best for your travel schedule. We have found that most overseas travellers enjoy bookending the retreat with a weekend in London or Canterbury.

What if I get sick or something comes up and I can't attend. Can I get a refund?

** Please contact us for special measures in place during this Covid-19 period. This is an intimate retreat and our preparation for your involvement is intentional. Due to the exclusive nature of this experience, we need a confirmed list of attendees. That means that we cannot accommodate refunds and we highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance to cover any unanticipated changes in your schedule.  If something comes up and you cannot attend, we will offer your spot to those on the waiting list. Should someone be able to take your spot, we are happy to accommodate you by transferring your payment in full to the next workshop.

What if I have food sensitivities?

We understand! We are foodies, and food plays a central roles in our retreats. We can accommodate vegetarians, vegans and gluten and dairy intolerances. Please note that as we are not using commercial kitchens we cannot guarantee that there has been no cross contamination. If you have other food needs, please inquire and we will let you know how we can accommodate you. Everyone will be satisfied by the fresh, largely local cuisine. Your food preferences and needs will be noted after your application is accepted.

Can I bring my significant other or a child if they are not attending the retreat?

This is a time of discovery and a time to put yourself at the centre of your quest. Only registered participants are welcome in order to maintain the intimacy and the focus of the session.

Is it personal? Should I expect to "share" and to cry?

Yes and no. It is all about you - your discoveries, your breakthroughs, your intentions, your laughter. It will be exciting, challenging, invigorating. You will probably find yourself more relaxed and more creative than you've been in a long while. For some this leads to great extroverted discoveries, for others quiet introverted knowings. Sometimes the path to these things is blocked and the removal of the blockage can find a release through tears, exclamations, dance, or laughter. It is hard to predict what the effect will be for each individual. We promise that our intention is to journey with you, in whatever way you choose.

If you have any other questions I’m happy to answer anything that you may be wondering about. Get in touch.
